Getafe, for their part, showed the shortcomings that have dogged them this season: difficulty in playing out with the ball under control, limited attacking output, and a disciplinary fragility that ultimately cost them with Mario Martín's sending-off in the closing stages. We believe the gap in the standings between the two sides, with Betis fighting near the top and Getafe stuck in the lower reaches, was faithfully reflected in what happened on the pitch.
